Local Strawberry and Produce Farm Launches Updated Website with Helpful New Features
Winterville, NC | February 23, 2011 – Strawberries on 903, a North Carolina Certified Roadside Farm Market, unveils a new look and several new features on its website, www.strawberrieson903.com.
The new site features a more modern look, is more user friendly and has a wealth of information for visitors, consumers and educators. Information about the farm, growing methods, products, recipes, and more is available. The new site also includes a blog with articles about life on the farm, current availability and picking conditions, issues related to farming and local food, and other important news.
“We wanted important information about the farm and our products to be more accessible to our customers,” said Mike Skinner, Farmer at Strawberries on 903. “Our new website gives us a platform to distribute important news in a more timely manner and helps us connect with our consumers.”
Since 2000, Steve McLawhorn and Mike Skinner have been farming strawberries and produce at the Renston Homestead, located 4 miles south of Winterville on NC 903. They currently cultivate over 25 different varieties of fruit and vegetables, along with several varieties of cut flowers and plants. The fruits of their labor are available to consumers at the roadside stand at Strawberries on 903, and at the Pitt County Farmer’s Market on Saturdays and Sundays during open season.
