Strawberries on 903 Sets Roots for 2019 Community Supported Agriculture Program

Strawberries on 903, a North Carolina Certified Roadside Farm Market located 4 miles south of Winterville on Hwy 903 in Pitt County, announces their 2019 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.

“This is our seventh season offering a CSA to Pitt County Residents,” said Farmer Mike Skinner. “Our members always rave about the freshness and abundance of produce in our weekly boxes and we are very excited about the program this year.”

CSAs offer community members the opportunity to buy fresh, local, seasonal food directly from a farmer by purchasing a “share” in the farm. Shareholders buy into the farm as members at the start of the growing season, and in exchange receive a weekly allotment of the farm’s harvest. Shareholders enjoy the many rewards of the growing season, which include weekly access to delicious, locally grown, nutritious fruit and vegetables.
CSA shareholders will receive a box of produce each week for 12 weeks, running from May through July. The assortment of produce will vary throughout the season and contain a wide variety of seasonal items. Multiple convenient pick-up sites and dates are available, based on the number of members.
